AUCKLAND DOMAIN
The Auckland Domain is Auckland’s oldest park and one of the largest.
It is located near downtown, includes the Auckland War Museum and is also near the Auckland City Hospital, the largest in New Zealand.
The Domain includes the Wintergardens with two conservatories as much worth visiting as the Domain outside.
There’s also a ‘Sensory Garden’ designed for visitors with disabilities. This type of garden is an infrequent feature in a public garden.

THE DOMAIN
The Domain grounds cover an area of some 185 acres on an ancient volcano, much like the rest of Auckland.
There are many facilities and easy to walk trails.

A sensory garden provides opportunities to enjoy the plants and their surroundings with our senses. It is designed for people with special needs. There is one such garden on the Domain grounds.
